My All-Star

This is Matt pitching in the All-Star game which they won!
When the coach's wife sent me the picture it was titled
"The Pitching Machine"
He did so good this year and he can really pitch, don't
really know where that came from except Michael and BJ across
the street playing with him all these years.
Scott really practiced alot with him once we found out he
had some talent. This was his first year of kid pitch ball
and it was a good one!
Also, he got most improved student in his grade this
year at school so he had a really good June!!!

Spring Break!

The girls are off all week and so am I! I have never been off
with my kids for Spring Break...ever! Matt isnt off until
Thursday because he is still at the Catholic School. We are
being so lazy. Today we are meeting Bonnie for breakfast at 10.
And I will have to pry them out of bed at 10, believe me!
Yesterday Ally and I were out shopping for shoes because she
is in Cousin Cathys wedding next week-end. Ended up buying
eight pairs of shorts at Kohls and no shoes, we actually forgot
the shoes...we got carried away.
Ally got two more 2nd place ribbons at her two last track meets,
she is doing well!
Matt started baseball and is lovin it! We are all wishing we could
be close to JACK in his "birthday month" but we are thinking about
him everyday, as always! The last time I spent Easter with my
family was the year he was born, thinking of that makes me sad
so I will stop now. Love you all and miss you!

Ally's Birthday cake and her first track meet. She got a
First Place ribbon for the 4x1 and a Second place ribbon
for the 400 which is her fave race! She had her best time ever
in both and its just the beginning of the season.

Just had to share this picture!

Oh the memories this brings back!! Had to share it with Mom, Dad, and Jell.

A beautiful Spring Day...

We spent Saturday at the Ridley Creek State Park in the 70 degree
weather it was a perfect day. We played catch, played basketball, did
some hiking, and walked a few miles on the trail. We had a good time.
Mike and BJ, Matts two older brothers from another mother took him
one night last week to Modells and hooked him up for Baseball season
with an expensive glove, Louisville slugger bat, a bag, glove conditioner,
batting gloves, the works. They are awesome guys and how lucky he is
to have them! He is all set for baseball season.

It's All About Ally!

Maybe the blog should be renamed Allison's Happenins, it always seems to be about her.
Not really on purpose, shes just very active and I want all of you to see everything she's
doing. She spent this weekend in the High School production of Music Man. She was one
of the few Middle School age kids who tried out and made the play. I can tell you she had
a blast! She is now bragging about how many friends she has in High School and teasing
Megan asking her if she wants her to "hook her up" with one of her friends (one of her "home skillet biscuits"). If you know Ally, you can just hear her doing this. I think this has opened many doors for her future in the local musicals, which are very hard to get in to.

Happy Confirmation Ally!

Ally on left, her sponsor our good friend Bonnie on the right, it was a lovely service and a lovely day! God Bless Ally!!

Happy Valentine's Day! ya whatev

Basketball season is winding down, two games
today two tomorrow and one Wed. then maybe
playoffs not sure yet.
But we do know that Ally was chosen for the
All-Star team that play on the 20th, we are very
proud. That is for the CYO Catholic Youth
League for you non-Catholics. It should be
very exciting and she deserves it, she is the top
point scorer (is that a word) on her team, it is
a young team and she has led her team to most
of their victories. The Springfield travel team is
a more competitive team but she gets a lot less
playing time, she finally played more last night and
scored 7 points that is really good for that team
since she warms the bench alot.
Matt and Megan are good, Meg is really looking
at colleges seriously now, kind of scary! Matt is
wrapping uo his basketball season playing on two
teams, at that age they are still really learning.
Dad-you need to leave a comment on these posts
because I do this for you and need to know you are reading them!

Mom, Come outside...

Last night I was in the midst of getting dinner, checking emails and ebay,

getting Ally going for her Basketball game that was at 6:00 on a school

night 20 minutes away and Matthew with his coat on says Mom, come

out here come out here! I was half listening, not to mention it was

20 degrees outside...but he kept insisting. Finally, I walk out on the porch

with no coat and he points down the street to the most beautiful pinky,

orange sunset and says isn't it pretty mom? So, of course, that stopped

me in my tracks yet again. I have always done things like that, or at least

tried to at beautiful sights in nature, just to make them stop and be

aware because its so easy to miss these. We especially do this on all

of our mountain trips, thats what it reminds me of, we just don't do it

enough everyday. Leave it to the eight year old!
